EVGA GTX 1650 XC Review

EVGA have utilised vertical packaging in all of their latest graphics card releases and we’re big fans. It’s different to the other manufacturers without compromising anything. If you’ll excuse the word play it’s a standout design.

  

We’ve often mentioned how much we like the looks of the EVGA fan blades, and that is perhaps even more the case with this smaller form factor making it a larger percentage of the looks.

  

Whilst the top side view above might make the card look like any other EVGA offering, from the side you can see the insanity of the triple slot cooler. The GTX 1650 is hardly the warmest card at the best of times so why exactly EVGA felt the need to go this big is a little beyond us. This is especially true when you consider that small cards are perfect for mATX systems in smaller cases, and the height is almost too much to fit into a small chassis.

  
  

As befits a model lower in the Nvidia range the GTX 1650 XC needs a single 6 pin power input, and outputs are covered by two HDMIs and a DisplayPort. We’d like to have seen a DVI too for those with older panels, but we guess you can’t have everything.
