The Aorus is a fantastic looking card, with a very beefy cooler. You’ve got the triple fan cooling solution that owners of the previous Gigabyte Windforce cards will be familiar with. The Aorus comes with orange flashes dotted about the cooler – something that we know will please at least one member of the OC3D Team – as well as a thick backplate to help disperse the heat that the latest nVidia GPU generates. As well as having a full copper base to the front side of the heatsink, hidden beneath the shroud, the backplate has a copper piece in it too, helping to keep your GPU even cooler by utilising the airflow from your case fans to cool the GPU from both sides. A great idea and one that we think will appear on all the other manufacturers cards soon enough. Outputs come in the form of three DisplayPorts and two HDMIs, with one of the HDMIs being split to the DVI-D too. But if you look at the other end of the card you’ll spot another HDMI tucked away beneath the cooler, perfect for your VR headset.
