Gigabyte RTX 5080 Aorus Master Review
 Introduction and Technical Specifications
Introduction
The last time we saw a killer GPU from Gigabyte it was under their Windforce label in the form of the RTX 4090 Windforce. We reviewed that back here. Showing how far the brand has come in the interim, the newest flagship models fall under Gigabyte’s incredible Aorus range. That particular brand has been around a while now, but we’re still left slack-jawed when we think of it. Few other brands in history, in any genre, have so utterly revitalised a company.
That’s not hyperbole either. Gigabyte was once struggling to produce anything that didn’t have a massive flaw in it somewhere. Then they totally turned the company on its head and the Aorus brand was at the forefront. It’s a legitimate stamp of quality. Better yet, Gigabyte haven’t watered it down by piggy-backing on its popularity to make everything they produce an Aorus product. By keeping it exclusive, resisting temptation, Gigabyte Aorus products are able to be purchased almost sight unseen. A rarity in the hardware world. Also a welcome thing, given how 99% of our shopping is done online.
Today we’ve got the RTX 5080 Aorus Master in for review. Such is the scarcity of all the Blackwell cards, even being reviewed a week or so after launch we know you’ve not missed out. Hens teeth, honest politicians, benevolent billionaires and now Nvidia 5000 series cards are the rarest things on earth. Does the 5080 uphold the Aorus range’s excellent reputation? Let’s find out.
