MSI MPG 321URXW QD-OLED Review

Around the Back

We wonder if other companies look at the MSI Dragon and wish their logo was that cool. It looks good on everything, but we think the combination of brushed white and flat grey here is especially attractive.

MSI have placed a lot of emphasis on ensuring that the 321URXW stays cool no matter how hard you push it. With the capability to do 4K @ 240Hz that’s high indeed. Behind the screen is a custom graphene film and heatsink combination that ensures cool running without the annoying noise of an active fan. Sweet.

We wish that the power cable in the box was 90° angled. It’s so difficult to get the chunky power cable routed neatly away. It can’t cost any more to give us one that allows for smooth routing?

It’s always important to have a good selection of inputs and the MSI MPG is offering many. HDMI is still a very popular option, especially as it allows you to use this as a console monitor too. Maybe the Playstation 6/XBOX One X S X V2 One will have DisplayPort outputs alongside their HDMI ones. Especially as the lines between consoles and PCs are so blurry. There is also a USB 3.2 Type-C connector, as well as the Type-B that connects the 321URXW to your PC.

The OSD joystick is right in the middle of the monitor. It makes it easy to find when you’re sitting in front of it. Thankfully MSI also provide controlling software so you aren’t limited to the OSD.
