No Man's Sky PC Performance Review

Graphical Options and Settings

While at first glance, No Man’s Sky may look like it has a detailed options menu, in reality, it does not have that much to offer. Yes, PC gamers can unlock the game’s framerate, change the FOV for both In-ship and On-foot gameplay but it lacks some of the most basic options like draw distance modifiers and any real description of what most of these graphical options even do.

Gamers will be able to see later that the graphical options in this game do not change very much visually, with the largest changes being in shadow quality and the textures of some in-game objects. All in all, we expected a lot more from this game, especially given the amount of money that Sony has put behind it.

When even relatively basic games like Minecraft can have good draw distance options, No Man’s Sky really should have included it.

No Man's Sky PC graphical options and 4K Screenshots

No Man’s Sky does not have integrated low, medium, high and Ultra graphics options. Below are the settings that we have used to test the game on our large selection of GPUs.

We will be testing this game at 1080p, 1440p and 4K at these graphical settings.
