No Man’s Sky PC Performance Review

No Man's Sky PC Performance Review

CPU and Memory Usage

When playing No Man’s Sky the CPU in our test system was frequently at 100% usage, which is quite a feat on a highly overclocked system with an i7 6700K. With such high CPU usage, it is likely that this game’s performance issues are down to CPU utilisation.

RAM wise our test system never used much more than 4.5GB of system memory, meaning that 8GB or system memory will be more than enough to play this game.

The below screenshot was taken when No Man’s Sky was played at 4K on a GTX 1070, with utilisation reaching even higher when playing at lower resolution and higher framerates. Remember that this game runs on a PS4, which uses an 8-core AMD Jaguar CPU at 1.6GHz.

Remember that this game runs on a PS4, which uses an 8-core AMD Jaguar CPU at 1.6GHz. An Intel 4-core 8-thread i7 6700K at 4.7GHz should easily be able to run this game.
