Star Wars: Battlefront – AMD VS Nvidia Performance Review
Graphical Comparisons – Low, Medium, High and Ultra Detail settings
With this game being both a third and a first person shooter, we decided to take each set of screenshots from both perspectives, allowing you to judge the details for yourselves from your desired viewpoint.
In terms of performance both ways of playing the game have a very similar performance impact, almost identical from what we have seen with our brief time with the title.
From this set of screenshots the difference between graphical settings is the lowest that you will see in the game, since slower or higher resolution snow are both white and while moving are nigh indistinguishable. The biggest differences between the highest and the lowest settings here are the fog and snowfall, with the higher settings featuring more dynamic fog/mist and a small but constant snowfall.
Please click on the screenshots below to see them at a 4K resolution.
In this set of screenshots you can most clearly notice the differences between the lowest settings and the highest, with low featuring almost no shadows, while the highest settings do not just have shadows, but high resolution soft shadows.
one other thing the higher settings will give players is dynamic dust clouds, which while realistic will likely be turned off by competitive players in order to gain clearer vision.
Here we again see how much shadows and lighting change between the different graphical settings, with the largest difference being seen between the Low and Medium presets. One thing that I can also see is very different textures in many of the grated areas on the floor.
