Star Wars: Battlefront – AMD VS Nvidia Performance Review

1440p Testing – GTX 980Ti & AMD R9 Fury X

Moving to 1440p AMD and Nvidia become almost completely even, with no side giving a notable difference in either visual quality or framerate during gameplay. AMD say that their R9 Fury X was developed with higher resolutions and VR in mind, so I wonder if AMD’s results will continue to get better as we crank the resolution up. 

With the ability to push this game to such high framerates at a resolution of 1440p the many 144Hz 1440p FreeSync and G-Sync monitors that have been arriving on the market are seem much more like worthwhile purchase.
