Visiting PowerColor at CES 2025 – New Radeon GPUs and more!

Have a look at PowerColor’s new RDNA 4 graphics cards

OC3D is at CES 2025, and following AMD’s RDNA 4 Preview, we had to call in with PowerColor to see what’s up. Sadly, PowerColor couldn’t tell us anything more about these new Radeon GPUs than AMD. The exact specifications of AMD’s new RDNA 4 Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 remain unknown. AMD is keeping details under wraps, and their partners are under strict orders to keep their mouths shut.

PowerColor could show us a trio of new RDNA 4 graphics cards, giving us a glimpse of what to expect from their RDNA 4 graphics lineup. All three models utilised triple-fan cooling solutions and used 8-pin PCIe power connectors. Pretty standard for high-end AMD GPUs.

Don’t fear the Reaper

The first of PowerColor’s trio of RDNA 4 graphics cards is their RX 9070 XT Reaper. This is a new addition to PowerColor’s product line. The GPU will act as PowerColor’s low-end offering, sitting under their established Hellhound and Red Devil models.

This new GPU model is powered by twin 8-pin PCIe power connectors and is cooled by three fans. The 3rd fan on this GPU uses a flow-through design, which is why the end of this GPU’s backplate is perforated.

What does it say on that label? RX 9070 XT 16GB? Should we know that? I wonder if AMD or PowerColor will force us to redact this…

A new Hellhound has arrived

Up next, we have the PowerColor RX 9070 XT Hellhound. This GPU is also powered by twin 8-pin PCIe power connectors and is cooled with three fans. This GPU also features a BIOS switch, allowing users to switch between this GPU’s OC mode and silent mode.

Both the Hellhound and the Reaper are dual-slot graphics cards. This will allow these GPUs to fit neatly inside most gaming PCs.

(Who let this nutter in?)

PowerColor Radeon RX 9070 XT Red Devil

At the top of the PowerColor RDNA 4 range is the Radeon RX 9070 XT Red Devil. This GPU features a much thicker heatsink design and features the same BIOS switch and OC/Silent modes as PowerColor’s Hellhound model.

The RX 9070 XT Red Devil is powered by three 8-pin PCIe power connectors, suggesting that this GPU has a TDP of over 300W. This suggests that the Red Devil will feature a power limit that is higher than PowerColor’s other models. Why else would you add an extra 8-pin connector to this graphics card?

As you can see, the Red Devil is much larger than both the Hellhound and Reaper. That’s great news if you want a big GPU to fill up your PC case, or if you want a larger heatsink to help keep your GPU cool while overclocking.

ALPHYN AH10 Wireless Gaming Headset and AM10 Gaming Mouse

At CES, PowerColor were also showing off their latest PC accessories. Inside their showroom, they had their ALPHYN AH10 wireless headset and AM10 Wireless mouse on show. PowerColor isn’t just a GPU company. As 2025 progresses, we expect to see a lot of new products from PowerColor.

Honestly, I’m liking the look of this white AM10 mouse. Sadly, showroom conditions give us little space to give products like this a proper look. Maybe we will get a chance to review these accessories in the future.

You can join the discussion on PowerColor’s Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 GPUs on the OC3D Forums.
