Zotac RTX 4080 Super Trinity White Review

It makes us chuckle that Zotac call their cooling the Ice Storm and their OC app the Fire Storm. We’re very glad there isn’t an electrical storm on the horizon. At least with the white packaging echoing the white product there is no way you’ll accidentally pick up the regular black model.
So often we see cards that are utilitarian and oblong. The Zotac Trinity instead has a lovely curved finish to the whole fan shroud. It’s very attractive and stands out from the competition.
Around the back we have a smooth backplate with a large cut-out to push hot air away from the card.
The slender nature of the fan surround reveals the huge amount of metal that forms the basis for the Zotac Trinity cooling “Ice Storm” system. If you like to be able to easily count the fins or check for dust build up, fewer coolers will make those tasks easier than the Zotac design.
Power is provided by the now standard new ATX design. It seems that all the early kinks have been worked out. It might not have built up the legendary reputation for robustness of the 8 pin PCIe connectors, but we don’t have any issues with them. Remember we plug and unplug them on a daily basis.
Around the back is the now standard combination of a single HDMI and three DisplayPort outputs. Even the Zotac logo is the right orientation when the card is installed. Little details go a long way.
