Zotac RTX 5080 Solid White Edition Review

Conclusion

We do enjoy a simple product to sum up. Often times there is as many caveats as there are positive things.

They can be as obvious as “yes it’s expensive but look at the features”, or “yes it’s cheap but look at the performance”. When it comes to graphics cards we think that most of us, if not all, care primarily about performance. Looks are okay, but the most performance for the smallest outlay and we can overlook most other things.

Fortunately with the Zotac RTX 5080 Solid White Edition all those caveats are unnecessary. It looks great. It might not have the ultimate aesthetics, but it’s darn close. The white colouring looks great and will match up with any of the white systems you care to build. For those who like a little extra we also love the bronze support bar and accents. It really contrasts beautifully with the white. What we especially enjoy is how it might attract the eye but it doesn’t dominate proceedings. Given how sleek a white system can look it’s important not to have things that grab the attention too hard.

Performance is very much on a par with any regular RTX 5080. One of the big benefits to Nvidia is how incredibly consistent their GPUs are. Yes there will always be a performance gap between a base card and a liquid-cooled, cherry-picked, factory overclocked one. But it’s never as much as the price might make you think.

The Zotac RTX 5080 Solid White Edition is a fantastic card to pick if you’re an avid gamer who wants a white card and also have a few quid left over afterwards to buy some games, and it wins our OC3D Gamers Choice Award.
