Zotac RTX 5080 Solid White Edition Review

Introduction

It feels like Zotac have been around forever. Certainly they’ve been around longer than we have. One of our earliest reviews was their amazing GTX295. This longevity means they’re excellent at making the most of a new card, but doing so efficiently.

Anyone can take the newest GPU and bolt a hugely expensive cooler to it. Plenty do. The real trick is maximise the consumers value for money by producing the best card possible without needlessly piling on end user cost. If you were around when we were reviewing the early launch of the newest Nvidia cards then you’ll remember the Zotac Solid. A card which totally lived up to its name. What we especially liked is that it hit MSRP.

The early days of any launch are, especially these days, rife with scalpers. When you add the horrific shortages that Nvidia endured the Blackwell card launch was swamped which storefronts showing 100% markups. Zotac giving us a card which you could buy, and at the same price Nvidia said you should be charged, scores highly on our respect-o-meter.

But what if you wanted one of those but you live for an all-white rig? Today that problem is solved too. Let us introduce you to the Zotac RTX 5080 Solid White Edition.
