ASUS Strix Impact Gaming Mouse Review

ASUS Strix Impact Gaming Mouse Review

Introduction

More than perhaps any other sector of the market, the gaming mouse page of any website that sells PC Hardware is stuffed to the gunwales with mice covering every possible option, from the bargain basement models all the way up to mice with more features than you would think capable of being contained within a hand-sized case priced at ‘serious investment’ levels.

Into this bustling market comes ASUS with the Strix Impact, a gaming mouse that joins the Claw – now discontinued – and the Claw Dark Edition as part of the extremely popular Strix range. In fact the Strix sub-brand has quickly become a byword for quality, from graphics cards to motherboards and peripherals in between.

So does the Strix Impact join this illustrious line up?

Technical Specifications

The impact is a very light, compact, 5000 DPI optical mouse, and that’s about it. According to the specifications at least. With support for ASUS AURA technology, including AURA Sync, we’re surprised that the specifications aren’t shouting loudly about this, particularly given the popularity of AURA and its appearance on all their products. Perhaps the photographs will reveal more secrets than the taciturn specifications.
