Corsair Ironclaw RGB MOBA Mouse Review

The Ironclaw is a new model in the Corsair range and, like all their gaming products, comes in the instantly recognisable yellow packaging. With a clear product shot and equally clear specifications, everything is there to let the casual observer know whether it’s for them.

Our of the box and one thing becomes immediately apparent, the Ironclaw is a chunky monkey. The body is similar to the M65 but it has been beefed up for those with larger hands. The button placement is better suited to a palm grip than a claw style, curious given the name, but both are viable if the aesthetics are such that the claw players fancy a go. The underside has huge low friction pads which combine beautifully with the textured sides to ensure the Ironclaw is under your control at all times, even when the going gets hot and sweaty in the last moments before a hard fought victory.

The side buttons are particularly large, protruding well beyond the side of the Ironclaw. If you’ve ever felt that manufacturers desire to make mice look like they have been hewn from a single piece came at the expense of the ergonomics and usability, the Ironclaw should be exactly the product you’re after. If it was a vehicle it would be a heavy duty pickup. Rugged and utilitarian.

Lastly the Ironclaw has 6 feet of braided cable and, as we’ll see on the next page, RGB lighting to go along with the incredible PMW3391 optical sensor, so it has the specifications to back up its single purpose looks.
