Up Close

Concessions always have to be made when you’re dealing with a product that is comfortably cheaper than most others, and with an expected retail of £25, the K10 packaging is fine enough. It wont set the world alight with robustness, but it looks the part.

The keyboard itself is basic as you would expect. Plenty of USB cable on an otherwise regulation black keyboard.

The rubber feet on the bottom are smaller than we’d expect, but thanks to the reasonable weight it doesn’t move about too much in use. The main highlight is a horizontal red stripe. Given the otherwise green nature of the K10 we have to say the decision to go with red is an odd one.

The cable, and indeed the cable tie, are hardly the most amazing braided wonder efforts we’ve come across, but equally it does the job. The font used on the keys themselves is undoubtedly eye-opening, as you’ll see below.

The keys are removable to reveal a very green plunger which promises to replicate the feel of a Cherry MX number, whilst retaining the cheaper membrane main event. The space bar has the i-rocks logo which you can light up. We were hoping the entire keyboard might light up, but it’s just the logo.

What about that typeface eh. Crikey.
