We see so much packaging here it’s easy to forget that not everyone does it the same way. So few boxes look different. MSI have a clean approach. The simplicity of a product image and name hints at the style of the Versa 300 Wireless 8K itself.

Connection is either Wireless, Bluetooth 5.3 or cabled. Suffice to say the Versa lives up to its name. We also secretly really like any USB connector that steps outside of the black and grey plastic world as the receiver does here.

With so little flash and flair in place it looks clean from every angle. Big left and right main mouse buttons dominate the top, whilst the side buttons are svelte enough to have aesthetic considerations, whilst also being prominent enough to hit easily and consistently. A tough balance.

Both sides of the Versa 300 Wireless 8K have this diamond texture, and they really provide a high level of grip without the tacky nature rubberised sides can bring.

Is this the most textured scroll wheel on the market? We’re struggling to think of any mice with quite this many knobbly bits. Certainly none with pairs of pyramids.

On the underside we find the trapdoor that contains the wireless dongle, should you wish to just slip the Versa 300 in your pocket. Large pads keep it sliding across your gaming surface with the minimum of fuss. Lastly the switch to change connection style is found here, easy to get at but impossible to catch unexpectedly.
