Corsair TC500 Luxe Frost Review

Introduction

If you’ve been in the market for a new chair then you’ve probably realised they generally fall into three main types. There are chairs which just about count as chairs, cheap and sometimes cheerful. In the middle are chairs which are ubiquitous. Indeed the more you search the more you realise that they all must come from one factory and have their branding changed. They are all just clones of each other. Then there are chairs at the top end of the price spectrum which are unique, but usually move from ‘gaming chairs’ to actual office chairs, with pricing to match furniture. Imagine getting an original Eames. That kind of money.

The newest addition to the Corsair range of chairs eschews all these categories. It just about keeps with the style of a racing style chair but has enough differences to be its own thing. If you’re familiar with their T1 and T3 chairs then the changes will be significant.

The TC500 LUXE is available in three different colours. Firstly there is the all-conquering Shadow colourway. Dark grey verging on black is always a popular colour for chairs and the TC500 LUXE is no exception. The model we have today, the Frost, is an all-white design. We’ll discuss this more on the next page. Lastly, and in a change to almost every chair we’ve ever come across, the TC500 LUXE is available in Forest Green. We know many people tire of the endless swathes of monochrome on the market, so perhaps this will sell by the truckload.
