Touring the MSI Booth at CES 2024

WIFI, AIOs, SSDs, and Monster Hunter

MSI’s expanding further into networking

Last year, we looked at MSI’s first gaming router. the RadiX AXE6600 WIFI 6E router. Since then, MSI has expanded their WIFI offerings, and now they have created a WIFI 7 Mesh system called Roamii.

Each node in the Raomii BE mesh system is available in Max, Pro, and Lite forms. All of these nodes support WIFI 7, with the Max supporting speeds of 21 Gbps. The Max also supports a smart backhaul and 10Gbps wired connectivity.

The Roamii BE Pro supports WIFI 7 speeds of up to 11 Gbps and a smart backhaul with 2.5 Gbps wired and MLO wireless connectivity.

Finally there is the Roamii BE Lite, which is the weakest of the three nodes. This node supports WIFI 7 at 5 gbps speeds and supports smart backhaul with 1 Gbps wired connectivity.

All-in-One CPU liquid coolers

MSI has revealed a range of new CPU coolers at CES. Below you can see the MAG Core Liquid I series. This series will be available in black and white options, with both featuring an “Infinity Mirror” style effect on their block heads. These units also feature Gen 2 ARGB MSI fans, which can sync seamlessly with the lighting on MSI motherboards.

Next we have the MEG CoreLiquid S360, which features a 2.4-inch IPS display. This display is capable of showcasing hardware information, GIFs, MP4s, photos, text or other live content.

This AIO features MSI’s MEG Silent Gale P12 fans, which are designed to deliver sufficient airflow while remaining quiet during use. This AIO’s block also features an integrated fan, which is designed to use a 0 dB fan mode at low temperatures. This block mounted fan is 60mm in size and is designed to assist CPU, VRM, and (nearby) SSD cooling.

The MPG CoreLiquid D360 is similar in most ways to the MEG CoreLiquid S360. Both appear to feature the same CPU block, but the MEG D360 features RGB illuminated TORX 4.0 fans. These fans are designed to deliver higher levels of static pressure to improve this heatsink’s cooling potential.

MSI’s SSD lineup

You may not know it, but MSI are now a majot player within the SSD market, offering PC builders a wide range of drives that cover all major speed categories and price points. We will be talking more about MSI’s SSDs in a later article, but for now, here is a glance of what MSI had to show us. Yes, the SSD on the right does have a HUGE heatsink!
