Enermax DF 12 Revolution 750W PSU Review

Conclusion

What we think of the Enermax Revolution DF 12 750W

We recently reviewed this PSU’s White 850W counterpart and we liked it. The same can be said for its 750W model of the Enermax Revolution DF 12. Even so, there are some differences that make us favour the 850W model.

Both models feature some great traits. These new units are ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 certified. That means that these PSUs support the latest power delivery standards and feature 12V-2×6 connectors instead of 12VHPWR. Their smaller than ATX sizing also makes these PSUs a lot easier to fit inside compact PC cases. Beyond that, this series of PSUs comes with pre-braided cables with cable combs. That means that you don’t need any more accessories or replacement cables to make your system look good.

The downside of the 750W model is that it is notably less efficient than its 850W counterpart. Both units are 80+ Gold rated and Cybenetics Platinum rated, but the 850W model did better in our efficiency tests. For that reason, we prefer favour the 850W model. Even so, both are solid units, and both deliver strong results in our voltage ripple tests.

Honestly, if I was considering the 750W model of the Enermax DF 12 Revolution, I would also consider paying a little more for the 850W model. It did a little better in our efficiency testing. Beyond that, an extra 100W of headroom would be welcome if I wanted to upgrade my system later down the line.

The Enermax Revolution DF 750W is a solid power supply and it performs well in our tests. It is more than worthy of our official seal of approval, and we are confident that it will do an admirable job serving the needs of PC builders.
