Enermax D.F. 12 Revolution 850W White PSU Review

Conclusion

The Enermax Revolution D.F. 12 850W is a solid PSU with an excellent aesthetic

With the Revolution DF 12 series, Enermax have upgraded their PSU lineup with some desirable traits. Its ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 support are welcome upgrades, as is its use of the newer 12V-2×6 standard over 12VHPWR. It’s shorter size than standard ATX PSUs also makes this PSU easier to install inside many cases, and makes cable management a lot easier. Beyond that, its pre-braided cables look great, and its included cable combs ensure that your PC’s cables will look great inside your windowed PC case.

Today, we are looking at the Enermax Revolution DF 12 850W White power supply. Honestly, we favour it over its 750W counterpart, as it proved to be notably more efficient. Yes, both are 80+ Gold rated, but the 850W  was notably more efficient in low and medium loads. Both units also delivered low levels of voltage ripple, making it better than most of the other 80+ Gold rated units that we have tested.

Aside from its specifications and feature set, this PSU’s main selling point is its looks. If you are building an all-white system, this is a great PSU option for you. It’s cables are pre-braided and come with a large set of cable combs for tidy cable routing. If you put in the effort, this PSU will ensure that you have a tidy looking PC build.

The Enermax Revolution DF 850W is more than worthy of recommendation. It has a solid feature set and it performed well in our testing. This PSU also excels aesthetically, which is why we are giving this PSU the OC3D Exceptional Aesthetics Award.
