Apex Legends PC Performance Review

1440p Performance – GPU Benchmark Results  

We said this in our 1080p page, but it is worth reiterating this point. When we test games, we always try to ensure that our results are representative of actual gameplay. This means that we have played a lot of Apex Legends over the past week, over time finding a way to benchmark the game that is reliable enough to gain accurate average framerates and minimum framerates that are representative of the game’s trickiest battles. 

This means that there is a lot of environmental traversal, some taxing Thermite grenades are thrown, and our results showcase some of the worst framerates the game can offer as well as an average that remains true for most of Apex Legend’s colossal map. All graphics cards are also tested with appropriate video memory settings. 

At 1440p only our RTX 2080 Ti stayed at over 60 FPS at all times, staying over 80 FPS at all times during our testing. It is worth noting that like the GTX 1060 and RX 580 at 1080p, with RX Vega 56, GTX 1070, GTX 1080 and RTX 2060 can maintain 60 FPS at almost all times in Apex legends at 1440p Max Settings. To mitigate these large dips in the game’s larger, multi-squad, combat scenes, players will need to lower the game’s graphical settings or enable the resolution scaler, perhaps both depending on your preference to lower overall graphical quality and momentary dips in resolution.
