Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

Preset Scaling

Black Ops 6 PC Preset Scaling

By default, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has five main graphical presets on PC. Minimum, Basic, Balanced, Ultra, and Extreme. All presets, except for minimum, set the game’s resolution scaling to 100% (native screen resolution). The game’s basic preset setting this to 50%. We have tested all of these presets below. However, we have tested the game’s basic preset at its default 50% resolution scale and at 100% resolution scale. This allowed us to see if game settings or game resolution had the largest impact.

With 100% resolution scaling, moving from Extreme to Minimum saw Black Ops 6’s framerate increase from an average framerate of 102 to 149, a performance increase of 46%. That’s a reasonable level of scalability, though higher performance levels can be achieved through upscaling.
