Shadow of the Tomb Raider RTX Performance Review - Ray Tracing and DLSS Analysed

1440p Performance – Benchmark Results

At 1440p, the merits of DLSS really come into their own. All of the screenshots on page 2 were taken at this resolution. Here, the performance gain is more than worth the graphical changes, which as we have discussed can be both positive and negative on image quality, even when comparing a single screenshot.

With the RTX 2080 Ti with Ray Tracing turned to High/Ultra, a 1440p resolution with a mostly 60 FPS framerate is possible, which is a great showing for the graphics card. For the RTX 2060, DLSS can get Shadow of the Tomb Raider to average over 60FPS when using the game’s Highest preset, which is great news for fans of 60FPS gameplay.
