Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB NVMe M.2 Review

Anvil IOPS

When we reviewed the original 970 Evo we had it in the 2TB format so there is a little bit of difference in overall performance. If you’re unaware the larger the capacity of digital drives, so the faster they usually are. The Read IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second) is fairly average and not really worth shouting about. However, the Write IOPS are truly jaw-dropping, second only to the Corsair MP510, although the plain 4K results aren’t quite a match for the original Evo. The gap between the Samsung 850 Evo and 970 EVO Plus show how quickly M.2 drives have moved on.
