As is so often the case, in Anvil the IOPS results are a good indicator of the MB/s results you can expect to see, so it’s not a great shock that the read speeds on the 970 EVO Plus are fair to middling whilst the write speeds are spectacular. The 4K QD16 result in particular has seen a big step forwards.
