Small, but Mighty! – Crucial P310 M.2 2230 2TB SSD Review

ROG Ally (PCIe 4.0) Performance

ROG Ally Performance – A HUGE upgrade

Unlike the Steam Deck, the ROG Ally is a PCIe 4.0 device. That means that the Crucial P310 can stretch its legs without a problem. We have compared the performance of this drive to the stock 512GB SSD inside the ROG Ally. Simply put, Crucial’s P310 delivers a massive speed upgrade.

With 2TB of storage, Crucial’s new drive offers around 4x as much raw storage space alongside a large speed boost. That allows users to have an expanded game library on their device and allows them to access their games faster though snappier loading times. As it stands, no other M.2 2230 SSD even advertises speeds that are similar to the P310. That means that this drive is the fastest SSD option for ASUS’ ROG Ally, at least for now.
