ATTO tests the drives over a huge range of block sizes and the Western Digital Black performs at a level far more in keeping with that which we would expect from an NVMe M.2 drive. In fact it’s only the smallest edge that puts the Samsung 970 above it in the Read tests whilst the Western Digital tops the graph in the Write test.
