Battlefield 4 Budget Build Performance

Battlefield 4 Budget Builds

Resident Evil 5 DX10

We’ve been using the Resident Evil 5 fixed benchmark for a while now and so it only made sense to include it in these testings. We used Medium settings at 1080p and took the results for both 0xAA and 8xAA.

Resident Evil is a good test to see how the slightly older games run on modern hardware. Most of the hardware we test runs pretty well on these systems, and there’s no exception here. AA seems to make very little difference, and 75 FPS is still more than acceptable.

Resident Evil 6

Resident Evil 6’s benchmark utility is DX9 only, which is strange when its predecessor has DX10 support. We ran the benchmark with the Medium preset over 1080p and 720p.

Resident Evil 6 gives us a score rather than an FPS average, which makes things harder to read. Our budget system does score three times as well as last week’s ID45 which ran very smoothly itself, so it’s safe to assume this is yet again good news for our system.
