A part of the OC3D test suite since the dawn of time, AIDA64 is perfect for getting a feel for the calculative performance available. Despite endless updates it’s always had a very consistent set of benchmark tools, making it ideal for our purposes. The only change in recent times is the move from the Chess Queen benchmark to a more robust Chess Checkmate test. Although very synthetic it’s a good place to start.
