When it comes to benchmarking gaming performance Futuremark has always created some of the most accurate and reliable tools out there, and that is something that doesn’t change when benchmarking on the Android Platform.  

What we can see here is that moving from Android 5.1 to Android 6.0 gives us a decent performance boost in Android’s version of 3DMARK, giving us a 17% performance boost in the Ice Storm test and a 15% performance boost in both of the Slingshot tests. 

This a a huge boost in performance given the fact that both these scores came from the same hardware, showing that Android 6.0 is a massive improvement in the software side when compared to Android 5.1, at least when it comes to gaming.
