Nobody would expect a Core i5-6600K at stock to completely blow our socks off, but the Intel offering is far more capable than you might give it credit for. Since the i5-2500K the Core i5s have continued to be an excellent choice. The Kingston DDR4 has bags of bandwidth even at this relatively low speed of 2666MHz.
