We know that AMD are aiming the RX 7900 GRE at 1440P gaming, and that it has the capability for light 4K gaming. Because our system reviews test some different games we thought it would be good to stick at 4K. Just to see how much you can squeeze from less taxing games. Or, perhaps, how it fares with the 7800X3D. So here are our 4K results. Clearly hardcore ray-traced games are still somewhat of a weakness with AMD technology. However, it’s important to note Midnight Suns is terrible on almost everything thanks to the 2K Launcher and Denuvo. We were most impressed that the Ryzen 7800X3D gained us 5 FPS in Control 4K Ray-Traced when compared to our regular GPU test rig and its Core i9-14900K. Obviously this is an impressive processor.
