PCSpecialist Fuse S Review

Conclusion
If, like me, you love to use all the tools available to you from a modern PC it would be easy to feel left out sometimes. So much of the hardware world is aimed at gamers. So much social media and news outlets care just about gamers. If you like to render videos, or even create 3D things, you can feel like the world ignores you. This is especially true with the majority of pre-built systems. They are either affordable – like today’s PCSpecialist Fuse S – or hugely expensive and niche. If the old joke about adding the word gaming to something means you can double the price, then it’s even more true when you come into “professional” PCs.
A computer that is just as happy in Vegas as it is in Lightroom or Forza Motorsport is a rarity. The rendering side tend to ignore gaming, even though CUDA cores vastly out-perform CPUs. Gaming sides tend to want to get the price as low as possible and so compromise the processing aspect. These are not bad approaches, let’s be clear. But they can be frustrating if you want a well-rounded system.
The PCSpecialist Fuse S is the well-rounded rig you’ve been waiting for. You get 2TB of Samsung 980 Pro storage, more than enough for most people and certainly swift. The 32GB of Corsair Dominator memory ensure you’re not left relying on the pagefile in all but the most demanding tasks. Where it really scores big though is the processor. By opting for the Intel Core i7-14700KF you’re getting a 20 core, 28 thread, 5.5 GHz processor that can handle anything you throw at it. Click back to our rendering results if you don’t believe us.
Where PCSpecialist flex their knowledge is the inclusion of a RTX 4070 Super. It might not be the big daddy of the Nvidia range but, as you saw, it will run anything at over 60 FPS even at 4K. Additionally by utilising such a large case and so many fans everything stays cool and, unless under the extremes of processor load, quiet. Plus the huge side and front windows allied to the bright RGB fans mean you get all the show-off abilities that we secretly love.
We’re all impatient people. Otherwise we’d be happy with our Intel 80286SX16s. But we’re impatient. We want things now. Sooner if possible. Normally with a PC Specialist system you put your order in and then wait for it to be built, this is a new line of Pre-Built systems for them that if you order before 3pm it is actually available for NEXT Day delivery! BONUS! The moment the Wakefield company work out how to teleport it to our door is.. well the day this site ceases to get new content. But you don’t have to wait. Order before 3pm. Spend the next day taking a sicky.
Currently, until April 21st, available at an offer price of £1799, the PCSpecialist Fuse S is a perfect blend of gaming prowess and creative capabilities, and wins our OC3D Performance Award.
