Being able to record your gaming exploits without impacting performance, or simply editing cat videos, encoding is a bigger part of our lives than ever. Largely in part to the ease of creating and sharing videos. Both the HEVC and X.265 benchmarks leverage fast codecs to check the capabilities of your CPU. Given that we’ve got a Core i7-12700F to play with, it’s plenty. Obviously if you’re determined to encode huge swathes of video you could leverage the CUDA cores on the Nvidia RTX 5060 to encode even faster.
