Intel appears to be making significant changes to its CPU roadmap – Razer Lake codename leaks

There has been much recent talk about changes to Intel’s desktop CPU roadmap, suggesting that the CPU giant has dramatically altered its processor release plans. Intel’s “Arrow Lake Refresh” has reportedly been cancelled. Now, a new CPU codename has appeared: Razer Lake.

It is unknown what Intel has planned for Razer Lake, though the CPU is reportedly set to launch after Nova Lake. Nova Lake will be Arrow Lake’s successor and will reportedly be released in 2026 on a new motherboard platform. This could place Razor Lake’s launch in 2027 or 2028.

Intel is due to launch its Arrow Lake CPU lineup next month. With its focus on Arrow Lake, we do not expect Intel to discuss its future CPU plans soon. After all, doing so would only distract from its newly soon-to-be-released Arrow Lake products.

The frequency of these Intel leaks suggests that the company is reworking its CPU roadmap. Our guess is that Intel may be able to release Nova Lake earlier than expected and could launch this CPU on their LGA 1851 platform, not a new platform. This acceleration in their roadmap could impact other future products.
