ASUS launches their ROG Ryujin III 360 ARGB Extreme

ASUS upgrades their ROG Ryujin III series of CPU coolers with new Extreme variant

ASUS has officially launched their new ROG Ryujin III ARGB Extreme CPU liquid cooler, an evolution of their Ryujin III series that delivers new optimisations to the company’s top liquid cooling solution.

This cooler’s use of Asetek’s new Emma Gen8 V2 pump is the first of these new optimisations. This new pump delivers higher flow rates and lower impedance, boosting this AIO’s cooling performance. Additionally, this new CPU cooler also features thicker 30mm fans, delivering more static pressure at all noise levels. Furthermore, these fans are daisy-chainable, minimising cable management while making installation easier.

Another neat addition to this liquid cooler is its movable mounting bracket, which allows users to reduce CPU thermals by optimally locating this cooler about your CPU’s hot spot. This new mounting solution is designed for Intel’s new Core Ultra 200 series processors. Sadly, ASUS has not confirmed if this offset mounting solution also works with AMD’s AM4/AM5 CPUs.

ASUS has also upgraded the screen on its new Extreme series coolers, doubling the screen’s refresh rate to 60 Hz while increasing its resolution from 240p to 480p. Alongside software upgrades, this enables more customisation options for the Ryujin III Extreme. With this new cooler users can display more system information or smoother custom animations.

Thanks to their new Extreme series upgrades, ASUS’ high-end AIO CPU liquid cooler will look and perform better than its last-gen counterpart. That’s great news for ASUS. That said, it remains to be seen if Asetek’s new pump design will address the noise issues of its predecessor. Regardless, the last-gen model was a strong performer, making this new version an exciting option for cooling enthusiasts.
