Elgato launches its 4K S External Capture card
The Elgato 4K S delivers major upgrades over the HD60 X while retaining solid pricing
Elgato has officially launched its new 4K S external capture card, building upon its successful HD60 X to give streamers more features while maintaining affordability.
The HD60 X supported 1080p 60 FPS capture and 4K 30 FPS capture. With the 4K S, Elgato delivers support for 4K 60 FPS capture, 1440p 120 FPS capture, and 1080p 240 FPS Capture. Additionally, the 4K S supports HDR10 Passthrough and VRR. The device also supports Windows 11, macOS 13, and iPadOS.
With this launch, Elgato has also shipped its new Elgato Studio app. This app promises fast recording with no setup, low latency video previews, low system resource usage, and more. Elgato has upped its hardware game, and its software game.
