Nvidia lowers RTX 50-series GPU MSRP prices in the UK
Nvidia RTX 50 series MSRP prices drop as US dollar weakens
Nvidia has officially updated its UK website to list new MSRP prices for many of its RTX 50 series graphics cards. This is likely due to the lowered value of the US dollar compared to the UK pound. Similar price changes have happened in Europe.
Day-1 VS Today’s MSRP prices
Note that Nvidia’s RTX 5070, RTX 5080, and RTX 5090 graphics cards now have lowered MSRPs. All of these GPUs have Founders Edition models. These are the GPUs where Nvidia can officially set pricing with its own-brand GPU models. This is likely why the pricing of Nvidia’s RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5060 Ti are unchanged.
For affected models, MSRP decreases are between 7% and 8%. For Nvidia’s RTX 5090, this change results in a £140 price drop. This lowered Nvidia’s RTX 5090 pricing below £1800 for the first time.
- Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 – £1,939 Day-1 VS £1,799 Today (-7.3%)
- Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 – £979 Day-1 VS £909 Today (-7.2%)
- Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti – £729 Day-1 VS £729 Today (Unchanged)
- Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 – £539 Day-1 VS £499 (-7.6%)
- Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti – £349 Day-1 VS £349 Today (Unchanged)
In the UK, it is not uncommon to see some Nvidia RTX 50 series graphics cards sell at prices below their official MSRP. The weakened US Dollar has allowed retailers to purchase these GPUs at lower prices, and some of those savings can be passed to consumers. Note that we have already seen Nvidia’s RTX 5070 drop below £460 in the UK. That’s lower than Nvidia’s new MSRP.
