Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI) has been delayed, again

GTA VI has a new release date

Rockstar Games has officially delayed Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI), pushing the game’s launch back from its planned May 26th release date. Now, the game is due to be released on November 19th. That means that gamers will need to wait for almost six additional months before GTA VI releases. Note that this release date is for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. GTA VI is not coming to PC, at least not yet.

This new delay will allow Rockstar Games to finish their game with “the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve”. This is very similar to what Rockstar said about their prior delay, where the studio said that the extra time would enable them to “deliver at the level of quality that you expect and deserve.”

GTA VI was initially revealed in 2023 and was originally intended to launch in 2025. This new delay will cause waves across the gaming industry. Many developers have worked to ensure that their games would not be released alongside GTA VI. Now, those plans need to change.

Rockstar Games has released two trailers for Grand Theft Auto VI. So far, the studio has revealed very little about its game. It is unknown when Rockstar next plans to showcase GTA VI.
