MSI teases “world-first PSU proactive and instant protection” PSU tech
MSI has started teasing its new MPG Ai1300TS PCIE5 and MPG Ai1600 PCIE5 power supplies ahead of CES 2026. Specifically, MSI is teasing a solution to “invisible problems” with PSUs, or rather, how MSI is “ending them”. MSI is adding new tech to its PSU lineup.
MSI claims to have a “world-first proactive and instant protection” system for its new PSUs. The company plans to detail this new tech at CES 2026 this month. Based on MSI’s teaser, both PSUs feature dual 12V-2×6 power outputs. It also features a USB Type-C output, which may be for PSU monitoring.
The MPG Ai1300TS PCIE5 and MPG Ai1600 PCIE5 should feature 1300W and 1600W power output ratings, respectively. The efficiency ratings of these new PSUs are currently unknown. That said, MSI’s MPG Ai1600T is 80+, and Cybenetics Titanium rated. We expect to see similar ratings for MSI’s new TS-series units.

In their teaser, MSI showcases a shield logo with a GPU inside. This implies that MSI’s protection solution is designed to protect graphics cards. Maybe it is something that could prevent 12V-2×6/12VHPWR cable overheating/melting? That said, we will not have complete details until CES 2026, which starts next week.
