Nvidia crafts new “very high-end” RTX 50 series GPU model – RTX 5090 Ti or TITAN Blackwell?

Nvidia’s reportedly building a new “very high-end” GPU

According to a new report from Overclocking.com, Nvidia is building a new “very high-end RTX 50 series” graphics card. The GPU is reportedly due to launch in Q3 2026. This GPU is reportedly unrelated to Nvidia’s RTX 50 SUPER series, which has reportedly been cancelled/paused due to memory manufacturing constraints.

It is currently unknown if this new Nvidia graphics card is an RTX 5090 Ti or RTX TITAN Blackwell. Overclockers.com believes that the GPU will be released in “a small batch” and will be launched “primarily as a Founders Edition”. Either way, the reporter seems to be confident that the GPU is higher-end than today’s RTX 5090.

Given the popularity of limited-edition GPUs like ASUS’ ROG RTX 5090 Matrix, it should be clear to Nvidia that there is demand for something higher-end than their standard RTX 5090. Perhaps Nvidia will unlock the full potential of its Blackwell GPU silicon with this new GPU. That said, given the uber-premium nature of this GPU, we can expect its pricing to be sky high.

It’s more than just a rumor…

So why are we talking about this? Simply because five or six different sources, from different countries and working for different companies, lead us to believe that this constitutes a much stronger body of evidence than a rumor picked up on a forum. Especially when we’ve cultivated relationships with them for years…

The target: the third quarter of 2026

A very high-end RTX 50 series card is reportedly in development, with its release even scheduled for the Back to School period (early Q3 of this year). The manufacturing process has apparently already begun (design and other aspects). The arrival of this card is said to be unrelated to the “SUPER” series (which are no longer on the 2026 release schedule).

However, does this mean we can be certain this card will be launched? NVIDIA has the ability to change its mind very quickly, as it has done in recent years. Do we have any concrete evidence suggesting an RTX Titan or 5090 Ti? Yes, we even think this card will be released in a small batch, primarily as a Founders Edition. As you can see, it’s impossible to be 100% certain about this, which, even as we write these lines, continues to puzzle and unsettle us. But we’re still putting our money on it!

There is demand for a “very high-end” Nvidia RTX 50 series GPU, but only from the ultra-rich

ASUS’ ROG RTX 5090 Matrix sold out almost immediately, and enthusiasts expect a similar sell-out for MSI’s RTX 5090 Lightning Z. With this in mind, why shouldn’t Nvidia build a Limited Edition ultra-high-end GPU of its own?

For most people, Nvidia’s RTX 5090 GPU is unaffordable, even at its MSRP. With this rumoured “very high-end” GPU, Nvidia could be taking its pricing to a whole new level. If this GPU is real, it is a product that’s exclusive to the global elite. Who else can shell out that kind of money for a GPU? That said, even if this planned GPU is real, Nvidia could cancel the project ahead of launch. After all, Nvidia didn’t release its TITAN Ada.
