AMD Ryzen X3D CPU prices drop in the UK
AMD’s Ryzen 7 X3D CPUs have received price decreases in the UK
Less than two months have passed since the release of AMD’s Ryzen 7 9850X3D (review here), and the CPU is already available at a discounted price. In fact, all of AMD’s currently available Ryzen 7 X3D CPUs are now available at lower prices in the UK.
AMD’s Ryzen 7 9850X3D, 9800X3D, and 7800X3D have all seen their price decrease by £15-£21. While this is not a huge discount, every little helps when you are building or upgrading a PC. All of these CPUs are great options for gamers, thanks to AMD’s large L3 caches.
While both CPUs are discounted, the price gap between the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and 9850X3D has narrowed slightly. This will make the 9850X3D slightly more attractive, given its higher clock speeds. Regardless, the performance difference between these chips is minor. Whether or not this CPU’s faster clock speeds are worth it is up to consumers.

For budget-focused gamers, AMD’s Ryzen 7 7800X3D is a CPU of great interest. It costs almost £100 less than a Ryzen 7 9850X3D and still delivers great performance. That said, AMD’s new Zen 5 architecture and boosted clock speeds make AMD’s Ryzen 9000 X3D CPUs stronger performers. Regardless, the 7800X3D’s significant cost savings make it a solid offering in today’s PC market.
