Nixxes releases PC Patch 1.1 for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach
PC Patch 1.1 has landed for Death Stranding 2
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach has received PC patch 1.1, which adds new performance optimisations and fixes to the game. This includes a bug that prevented PC gamers from accessing Death Stranding 2’s VR Training Missions, and another that prevented Steam Friends from loading in the game’s “Social Strand Service” friends list.
A fix for enabling AMD FSR and Intel XeSS Frame Generation alongside DLSS has been implemented. That’s great news for Nvidia RTX 20/30 series GPU users. Additionally, improvements to the game’s user interface and localisation have been made.
Nixxes and Kojima Productions have stated that they are working on more patches. This should include more PC performance improvements.

Further improvements to DLSS Frame Generation are necessary
We have taken the time to retest Death Stranding 2: On the Beach with an Nvidia RTX 5080 graphics card. Sadly, I can confirm that we still experienced frame pacing issues when DLSS Frame Generation was set to 3x or 4x mode (see our PC performance review here). On our frametime charts, this is displayed as much lower than expected 1st percentile framerates. Hopefully, this issue will be addressed with a future PC update.
Regardless, PC patch 1.1 is a welcome update for Death Stranding 2 players on PC. All performance optimisations are welcome, and improved game stability is good for everyone.
