AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT prices dip to near MSRP in the UK

AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT hit near-MSRP prices in the UK

At several UK retailers, the price of many AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT models has dipped to £599.99, bringing it exceptionally close to the GPU’s MSRP of £569.99.

For most of this year, Radeon RX 9070 XT models have been priced far above AMD’s MSRP, with prices of £650 or more on many occasions. Now, the pricing of lower-end models appears to have dipped, making these GPUs a lot more attractive to budget-conscious gamers.

Right now, RX 9070 XT GPUs are available for £599.99 at Overclockers UK, Amazon, and Scan. This includes GPU models from manufacturers such as ASUS, XFX, and PowerColor, suggesting that these lowered prices aren’t a brand-specific or retailer-specific offer.

To my knowledge, AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 XT has not been available at or below its MSRP at any point this year. Thanks to the AI datacenter boom, prices for many components have increased. This is especially true for memory. Most analysts blame these factors for the rise in GPU prices. However, it is unknown what has caused these recent GPU price drops. After all, memory prices haven’t decreased.

If I were to speculate, my guess would be that dampened GPU demand has forced prices to moderate. The cost of building a gaming PC has risen significantly. DDR5 memory is obscenely expensive. With that being the case, lowered demand for gaming GPUs is far from unexpected. That said, today’s lowered prices may encourage some demand from upgraders.
