ASUS ROG RTX 5090 Matrix Platinum Review
Introduction and Technical Specifications
Introduction
We’ve had a lot of experience with ASUS ROG Matrix cards. If you’ve been with us recently you’ll remember the RTX 4090 Matrix Platinum. If you’re celebrating your tenth year here then perhaps you’ll recall the GTX780Ti Matrix. Suffice to say we’ve been writing about them for years. Albeit it with a massive gap. Suffice to say ASUS have been putting their talents towards the flagship models for some time.
There has been a lot of discussion about this particular Matrix Platinum. Whether ASUS were going to recall them. In the end there was a slight adjustment to the design made before any were shipped. All good. Given how much the flagship Nvidia cards cost before the RAM market exploded that’s a positive. We all know that ROG products cost a little more. Flagship ROG products of flagship Nvidia designs are the kind of money that make us check our Euromillions tickets.
We don’t need to waffle on. You know all what this is. Like you, we just want to know what new toys the Matrix is giving us, and how it performs. Sometimes a big preamble is unnecessary. If the ASUS ROG Matrix Platinum had entrance music it would be AC/DC. Unlike the last one it isn’t watercooled, so perhaps that fan hides some goodies. Let’s find out.
