Cooler Master HAF 700 White Editions
We’re not giving away any secrets to say that we adore the Cooler Master HAF 700 case. In fact we consider it their current finest model. It’s huge, flexible, and looks the business. Heck, you can check out our review of the original HAF 700 here.
Today, to the delight of the Boss, Cooler Master have announced that they are going to produce a HAF 700 White Edition, and HAF 700 Evo White Edition. All the versatility and build quality that we saw from the original HAF 700, but this time in white. There are both regular and Evo models available. The Evo is the one that we’ve got the pictures of, so that’s what we’ll show you on the next page. Plus, with that amazing IRIS LED display built into the front, why wouldn’t you want the HAF 700 White Evo?
The headline features are support for 200mm PSU length, GPUs of any current size, EATX motherboards, and everything can be installed without needing tools. If you want to flex the cooling part of the Cooler Master HAF 700 then the key numbers are these. Two 200mm White SickleFlow ARGB fans are supplied with the HAF 700 White Edition. These fans push a lot of air and are very quiet. I have two in the floor of my own rig and hate fan noise. So you’re instantly saving having to immediately upgrade the fans. There is room for radiators up to 480mm, so if you like your cooling in the liquid variety you’re not limited for space.
Gimme!
If you don’t need to check out our pictures and feature highlights, it’s worth noting that there is a special launch price at the moment available at Scan. For the first two weeks after launch you can get the HAF 700 Evo White Edition for £429.99 instead of the regular £449.99. Those of you who want the non-Evo version of the HAF 700 White Edition can pick it up for just £309.98, also from Scan Computers. Should they prove half as popular as the original case, we think that you shouldn’t pause for breath before they all sell out. Cooler Master have very much flexed their years of case knowledge into this product. High end white cases are thin on the ground. Combine those two things and this is going to sell like hot cakes.
Specifications
How Does It Look?
There are a couple of points that the HAF 700 Evo has which the regular one hasn’t. It’s worth bearing in mind if you’re going for the plain HAF 700. The IRIS LED display in the front, seen here with the Cooler Master logo, is unique to the Evo. Similarly the RGB breathable glass panel is only found on this version of the case. It might be £100 more than the vanilla model, but you’re definitely getting bang for that buck.
Both HAF 700 cases have 4 USB 3.2 G1 Type-A front panel connectors and a single USB 3.2G2 Type-C connector.
The cooling capacity befits something from a company called Cooler Master. The roof supports either a single 420mm or two 360mm radiators. This large black panel you can see is where you could fit a 480mm radiator. Meanwhile both the front and floor could also hold 420mm radiators. You could have a dedicated 420mm radiator for both your CPU and GPU. It’s incredible. With nothing in the way inside, GPUs of any length can be installed without fuss or modification.
Around the back is where you can tool-lessly install all your drives, and also squeeze in a 200mm PSU. Cooler Master also fit the HAF 700 with an integrated PWM and ARGB hub, giving you 5 extra ARGB v2 and another 7 PWM fan headers, should you need them.
This rear shot really shows how much venting Cooler Master have given the HAF 700. Similarly by installing hardware into it they are giving you a glimpse at the cooling potential. So many fans. Then again it wouldn’t really be the “High Air Flow” if you couldn’t create a mini tornado inside.
Around the Back
In case you were unaware, or the above pictures didn’t make it clear, the HAF 700 White Edition is wide. It’s a full double wide in fact. There is a reason that HAF stands for High Air Flow. With this many vents, and this much space around everything, it’s clear the name is well chosen. Just as a last little detail, the space marked “pull” is where a vertical GPU would be situated, and Cooler Master supply the HAF 700 White Edition with a PCIe 4.0 riser cable in the box. No compromise on throughput, no extra investment. We’re sure one will arrive in the office soon and we’ll bring you a full review when it does.
But just to close out, quickly. Can we just say… We did it first, like the same week as the original black launch 😉
