AMD’s Ryzen 5 7600X3D CPU is now available through a major UK retailer
AMD’s Ryzen 5 7600X3D is now available in the UK through Overclockers UK
Overclockers UK has become one of the first UK retailers to start selling AMD’s Ryzen 5 7600X3D gaming CPU. This CPU is AMD’s lowest cost X3D gaming CPU that is available to socket AM5 users. Until now, this CPU has been exclusive to specific retailers, including Microcenter in the US and Mindfactory in Germany.
Thanks to AMD’s X3D V-Cache technology, this Ryzen 5 CPU can deliver excellent gaming performance. Although it doesn’t utilise AMD’s newer Zen 5 CPU cores, the Ryzen 7000 series CPU can still deliver strong gaming performance. However, the addition of AMD’s 3D V-Cache tech raises this CPU’s pricing to £269.99. That’s much higher than the sub-£180 cost of AMD’s Ryzen 5 9600X. In fact, this CPU’s price is the same as AMD’s 8-core Ryzen 7 9700X. This raises the question, do PC builders want more cores or more cache?
For pure gaming workloads, AMD’s X3D CPUs are king. While having access to more cores is preferable for productivity-based tasks, AMD’s X3D technology has the potential to significantly boost gaming performance. Having access to AMD’s Ryzen 5 X3D CPUs gives the UK’s PC builders some welcome new options.
