AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 XT launches at 2 PM GMT – Here’s what you need to know

AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 series GPUs will be available from 2 PM GMT – Here’s what you need to know

AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT graphics cards will be available today. In the UK, retailers can start accepting orders at 2 PM GMT. If you want to see our review for AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT, you can read it here. If you want to know more about the launch, GPU pricing, and stock levels, read on.

Retailers have tonnes of stock

Based on comments from retailers, AMD’s RX 9070 XT alone may have more day-1 stock than all of Nvidia’s RTX 50 series GPU launches combined. Overclockers UK has claimed that they have over 1,000 Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Pulse GPUs alone (hence the Borg Cube below). In fact, Overclockers UK says that they are the “King of Stock” with over “1000+ in stock of each brand.”

AMD is making a mockery of Nvidia’s RTX 50 series launches with high levels of RX 9070 series stock. Stock has been building up at retailers since January, giving them a strong supply of GPUs for day 1 purchases.

Don’t expect AMD’s MSRP pricing to last forever

As we have said in prior articles, global retailers are unable to purchase AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 series GPUs at or below AMD’s MSRP. Thankfully, AMD will be supporting this launch to bring the cost of lower-end GPU models down to the company’s MSRP price. However, this support from AMD will be limited to a specific number of GPUs per retailer. Once these GPUs sell out, the pricing of some RX 9000 series GPUs will rise. As such, we don’t expect AMD’s MSRP pricing to be available for long after launch. That said, overall GPU pricing should remain relatively close to AMD’s MSRP.

There’s a lot of Sapphire RX 9070 XT Nitro+ GPUs shipping in this week at reasonable prices

Yesterday, we confirmed that Overclockers UK has over 1,000 Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ GPUs coming to the UK this Friday. These GPUs will be available for pre-order later today, and all of them will cost £699.95. That’s not bad for a premium GPU model from a respected brand.

If you pre-order this GPU later today, you can expect it to be shipped quickly. We have already reviewed this GPU model, and we were impressed by it.

Radeon RX 9070 Pricing

Ahead of launch, Overclockers UK has been the only UK retailer to reveal its Radeon RX 9070 series prices. This is why they are the only retailers listed below. We expect other UK retailers to price their graphics cards similarly.

AMD Radeon RX 9070 Models Overclockers UK Price
Sapphire RX 9070 Pulse £529.99
PowerColor RX 9070 Reaper £529.99
Sapphire Pure RX 9070 Gaming OC £569.99
PowerColor RX 9070 Red Devil £599.99
ASRock RX 9070 Steel Legend £599.99
Gigabyte RX 9070 Gaming OC £599.99
ASUS RX 9070 Prime OC £649.99

Radeon RX 9070 XT Pricing

Overall, most AMD RX 9070 XT GPU models are available at prices within £150 of AMD’s MSRP. This pricing is a miracle compared to recent Nvidia GPU launches, where GPU prices were often close-to or above Nvidia’s MSRPs for higher-end models.

Hopefully, retailers will have a lot of stock of MSRP-priced Radeon RX 9070 XT GPUs, and prices don’t rise much after AMD’s support ends. Remember, AMD is only supporting the prices of MSRP cards. Even if this support ends, these models will be more affordable than their premium counterparts.

AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Models Overclockers UK Pricing
Sapphire RX 9070 XT Pulse £569.99
PowerColor RX 9070 XT Reaper £569.99
ASRock RX 9070 XT Steel Legend £569.99
PowerColor RX 9070 XT Hellhound £659.99
Sapphire RX 9070 XT Pure £689.99
Gigabyte RX 9070 XT Gaming OC £689.99
Sapphire RX 9070 XT Nitro+ £699.95
ASRock RX 9070 XT Taichi OC £699.95
ASUS Radeon RX 9070 XT Prime OC £709.99
PowerColor RX 9070 XT Red Devil £719.99
Gigabyte Aorus RX 9070 XT Elite £749.99
PowerColor RX 9070 XT Red Devil Limited Edition £799.99
ASUS RX 9070 XT TUF Gaming £799.99
