ASUS RTX 5080 GPU listed for €1699.95 in Europe

Early GeForce RTX 5080 price listing hints at a next-generation price increase from Nvidia

A retail listing for an ASUS-branded GeForce RTX 5080 has been found by Tomasz Gawronski, revealing a price tag of €1699.95. This early GPU listing also reveals “DLSS 4” support for Nvidia’s upcoming RTX 50 series GPUs.

When translated into US dollars, this ASUS RTX 5080 GPU will cost $1349 without tax. This is much higher than the MSRP pricing of Nvidia’s RTX 4080-series GPUs. Remember, Nvidia’s RTX 4080 launched with an MSRP of $1199, while the RTX 4080 SUPER later launched with an MSRP of $999.

Sadly, this ASUS GPU listing is far from a confirmation of Nvidia’s planned RTX 5080 pricing. After all, this early retail listing may have incorrect pricing. Alternatively, this GPU may be a higher-end RTX 5080 model or have a large “ASUS Tax” on top of Nvidia’s MSRP. Regardless, $1350 is much higher than the RTX 4080 SUPER’s $999 MSRP.

If recent rumours are correct, Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5080 will have a TDP of 360W, feature 10,752 CUDA cores, and is reportedly up to 10% faster than an RTX 4090. Is Nvidia’s performance boost enough to justify a price increase? Will Nvidia’s RTX 5080 have an MSRP higher than $1199? I guess we will find us at CES.
