Final Fantasy XV will release on PC in early 2018 with Nvidia GameWorks
Last year’s critically acclaimed JRPG is coming to PC with breathtaking enhancements thanks to NVIDIA technologies like GameWorks, Ansel, Shadowplay Highlights, 4K textures, and so much more.Â

The problem here is whether or not Final Fantasy XV will run well with these Nvidia technologies, as GameWorks has a terrible reputation of overusing GPU resources to achieve these visuals, especially when badly implemented.Â
We need only remember the Witcher 3’s HairWorks controversy and the issues that we have reported when using Nvidia HFTS Shadows in Agents of Mayhem to see why many PC gamers do not trust Nvidia GameWorks Technology. We can only hope that these technologies have been integrated into Final Fantasy XV in a way that minimises performance impact, especially on non-Nvidia hardware.Â

Final Fantasy XV will contain Nvidia Ansel support as well as Nvidia TurfEffects, HairWorks, Nvidia Flow, Nvidia HFTS Shadows and Nvidia VXAO Ambient Occlusion. This gives Final Fantasy XV the most comprehensive Nvidia GameWorks support that we have ever seen in a game, which is either exciting or disappointing depending on your opinions of Nvidia GameWorks.Â
It has been confirmed that Final Fantasy XV’s PC version will be releasing on Windows 10, Steam and Origin.
